ABC News says Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater is someone you should know.  The skokie native Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater, travels the world entertaining with his left-handed guitar work, his room-filling vocals, his boundless energy and even his signature Indian headdress.

“I want give as much back to the blues as the blues has given to me because it’s very important for the younger generation to hear. This is where we came from this is our culture. I want make sure it continues into the next generation,” said Clearwater.

Jan & Feb 2009 – Laurie Morvan Band recording 4th CD!

The Laurie Morvan Band are expecting to release their fourth CD with fourteen songs written by Laurie Morvan this spring.

“The Laurie Morvan Band expects to release a new CD this Spring featuring 14 songs all written by Laurie Morvan. Laurie is co-producing the CD with Steve Savage, whose producing/engineering credits include Elvin Bishop, Robert Cray, Tommy Castro, John Hammond and others. Several of the CDs Steve has worked on have gone on to receive Grammy nominations, including a 2009 Grammy nomination with Elvin Bishop.”
